@quemacha ..I am sorry if you missed the point or twisted the interpretation of my words. Perhaps you can do your own research on those two figures to see how they became close to God, or whether they had a Bible at their disposal or a Church that they attended regularly. Then you can come to a conclusion for yourself on how they were able to achieve their oneship without those things being available. Getting hysterical will not change the facts.

@taleeni The Bible - The Word of God - is a spiritual hindrance? The Bible is not necessary for oneship with God? Wow! So Enoch and Elijah achieved with their power of positive thinking, and not because God ordained them for a special purpose. New Age/occult thinking has seeped into the church in a frightening way. I would urge you to seriously re-consider this philosophy.

@quemacha..The point is Enoch and Elijah has nothing on anybody else. The same thing they could have achieved without a Bible, Torah, Talmud, Church or Synagogue we should be able to achieve more with the so-called resources at out fingertips. Perhaps, this is an opportunity to see that the Bible and the Church although useful to some extent, is not what determines true oneship with the Creator. Perhaps we all need to reevaluate how these instruments act as a spiritual hindrance at times.

@taleeni Enoch and Elijah, two names out of the 99% of humanity that will experience normal death unless Jesus returns in their lifetime. Did not Mary conceive as a virgin? But we know that event would not happen again. Put it another way, if The Secret had any aspects of biblical truth, would Oprah Winfrey promote it? Of course not. Yet she probably considers her wealth as evidence of God's approval on her lifestyle.

@quemacha ..Why would you believe that the God that created you has created you as an adoptee instead of a full-fledged legitimate heir to His throne? What is a Kingdom without heirs?Man is also eternal, did not Enoch and Elijah both ascended to Heaven, without any human death? Man, may not be all knowing in his present 'sinful' state, but all the knowledge is available to him if he becomes fused with God.Jer33:3..Blessings.

The Secret is not only NOT a Christian book but it's AGAINST biblical Christianity. In fact, it even tells the readers that we are all God! "The Secret" is based on New Thought which never has and never will be remotely Christian. It's a book that should be denounced by Christians. This guy apparently has been influenced by New Thought and is deceived.

@taleeni We are God's children by adoption, not by nature (Gal 4:5-8). Christ alone is God by nature and shares God's incommunicable traits. For example, God is eternal (Psa 90:2), but man is not (Gen 1:1,21,27). God is all-knowing ( 1 John 3:20), but man is not (Job 38:4). I'd recommend the book "Christianity in Crisis 21st Century" by Hank Hanegraaff, which discusses the questions you brought up in light of the Bible.

@quemacha Well of course The Secret would have ignored all those things because it is not a Christian nor religious book. Just because something is not tied to religion does not mean there is no wisdom to be found in it. The Serpent was speaking the truth to Eve, we are like Gods as we are created in the image and likeness of the Creator. Did not Christ say that what he did we can also do, and that if we have faith as little as a mustard seed we can move mountains?

@taleeni The Secret ignores sin and the need for repentence and Christ's atoning sacrifice. The Secret elevates human thoughts over God's sovereignity. The Secret is materialistic while the Bible says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him" 1 John 2:15. The Secret repeats the serpent's words to Eve "You shall be as gods." This "pastor" is trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
